IGS Training Workshops
IGS offers five different workshops focusing on topics in `omics applications and bioinformatics including metagenomics, transcriptomics, comparative genomics and programming with Perl and R. All workshops are hands-on, providing attendees with real-world experience in the use of multiple free bioinformatics tools and resources. DOE Joint Genome Institute Workshop
The U.S. Department of Energy Joint Genome Institute (DOE JGI) offers five-day workshops on Microbial Genomics and Metagenomics. Workshops include two days of intensive seminars and three days of hands-on tutorials for the following tools: IMG, IMG/M, IMG-ER, IMG-EDU, VISTA, GREENGENES and ARB. The goal is to provide training in microbial genomic and metagenomic analysis, and to demonstrate how the cutting-edge science and technology of DOE JGI can enhance your research.
